Pohela Boishakh: Bangla New Year Festival

Bengali New Year (Bengali: নববর্ষ Nôbobôrsho) or Pôhela Boishakh (পহেলা বৈশাখ ), happening on the Fourteenth Apr or Fifteenth Apr, is the first day of the Bengali schedule, famous in both Bangladesh and the Native indian condition of Western Bengal, and in Bengali areas in the other Native indian declares, such as Assam, Tripura, Jharkhand and Odisha. It correlates with the New Seasons Times of several Southeast Oriental schedules.

 In Bengali, Pohela appears for ‘first’ and Boishakh is first 1 month of Bengali schedule. Bengali New Season is known as in Bengali as "New Year" (Bengali: নববর্ষ Noboborsho, from Sanskrit Nava(new)vara(year)) or "First of Boishakh" (Bengali: পহেলা বৈশাখ Pohela Boishakh or পয়লা বৈশাখ Pôhela Boishakh). Nobo indicates new and Borsho indicates year.
